Emmanuel Johnson


Team Lead: Engineering and Environmental Pollution Management

Emmanuel Johnson is an engineer with a broad interest in understanding and interacting with the social side of complex technical, environmental, and natural resources challenges. He works as a lecturer in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Federal University Otuoke, Bayelsa State, Nigeria, and presently on a part-time teaching assistant role with the Environmental Engineering unit of Newcastle University, United Kingdom, where he is currently doing his PhD research in the field of Environmental Engineering. He is quite broad in his areas of education with training touching almost every field of Engineering. He holds an MSc. degree in Subsea Engineering from the University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom and a B.Tech. degree in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering from the Rivers State University, Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He is a registered professional engineer in Nigeria and member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE). Most of his research focus on industrial and municipal wastewater treatment, petroleum contaminated site remediation, strategy development, soil and water treatment technology evaluations, water quality assessment, and energy management. He is part of the pioneer team that developed the foundation for the starting up of the Faculty of Engineering at Federal University Otuoke. He can be contacted via email: johnsonemma2000@yahoo.com.

Doosu N. Precious


Assist Team Lead: Engineering and Environmental Pollution Management

Doosu N. Precious is a researcher in contaminated land management, groundwater quality modelling and Geomatics. He is an Environmental Science & GIS Expert with the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP) – “The Ogoni oil spill Cleanup Project”, under the Federal Ministry of Environment. He is currently a PhD researcher in Environmental Management and Control at the Institute of Geosciences and Space Technology, Rivers State University, Port Harcourt. He holds a Master’s degree in Safety and Environmental Management from Edinburgh Napier University, UK. He received his BSc degree in Biochemistry from University of Port Harcourt. He has worked on soil remediation projects with the UNEP, SPDC, NAOC and other companies within the Niger Delta. He has publications in environmental management, and believes in the incorporation of his professional experience into future researches.

Barr. Aisha Ali Tijjani

Legal Adviser I / Company Secretary

Senior Lecturer at Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies, Law Department. A research oriented person who is willing to work hard and contribute knowledge by research in law through intellectual intelligence for specific protection needs for women and men, children, youths and older persons, persons with disabilities, and minority groups. A legal practitioner with a passion for research and policy making, offers consultative services for various NGOs in policy drafting, strategic planning and management, data management, law amendments to suit emerging issues and phenomenon, and alternative dispute resolution. She is quick to grasp new ideas and concepts, and to develop innovative solutions to problems. She works well on her own initiative and can demonstrate the high levels of motivation required to meet the tightest of deadlines. Even under significant pressure, she has the ability to perform effectively. In addition to these, she has excellent communication skills

Lesor Ikeh


Team Lead: Corrosion, Asset Integrity and Materials Management

Dr. Lesor Ikeh is a Lecturer in Department of Petroleum and Gas Engineering, University of Port Harcourt. He specializes in Petroleum engineering, gas engineering and management, Gas processing and Utilizations, Corrosion and pipeline engineering. He holds a B.Eng. and M. Eng. in Petroleum and Gas Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria and M.Sc. in Pipeline Engineering from the University of Newcastle Upon-Tyne, United Kingdom. He also obtained his PhD in Petroleum and Gas Engineering and Management from the University of Salford, Manchester, United Kingdom. He had worked previously as a Demonstrator at the Department of Petroleum Engineering, Rivers State University; Research Associate to PTDF – Uniport Gas Chair, Corrosion & Gas Engineer to Integrated Petroleum Resources Ltd., Proper-Time Engineering and Consultant Services, Laser Engineering and Resources Consultants Limited and Coordinator, Masters in Engineering Management Programmes at the University of Port Harcourt. He is a Consultant to several companies and to his credit has authored/co-authored several research articles in reputable journals and conferences in Nigeria and overseas. He has the following training in and outside Nigeria: Subsea Engineering Course by Society for Underwater Technology (SUT), Accra, Ghana, Subsea Awareness Course by Society for Underwater Technology (SUT), Lagos, Nigeria, Corrosion Science Symposium by Institute of Corrosion, National Physical Laboratory, Teddington, London, Midlands Workshop on Surface Analysis for Corrosion Issues, Aston University, Birmingham, UK and European Corrosion Congress, Graz, Austria. He is a member of Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Professional Institute of Pipeline Engineers (PIPE), Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) and Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).

Rogerson D. Ntorue

Engr. Rogerson Ntor-ue T is the Director, Operations R & B Technologies Nig. Ltd. He specializes in Offshore and Onshore Engineering Design, Valve Repairs and Maintenance Services, Procurement, Construction and installation Services in the Oil and Gas Industries, has worked on several Gas gathering projects with different international Oil Companies in Nigeria. He holds a B. Tech in Chemical /Petrochemical Engineering from Rivers State University, and M.Eng in petroleum and Gas Engineering, from University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He is presently on his PhD Programme in Gas Engineering and Management, University of Port Harcourt. He has worked Previously as a Research Assistant to PTDF-Uniport Gas Chair, Department of Petroleum and Gas Engineering University of Port Harcourt and also as a Process Engineer on the Northern Option Pipeline(NOPL) Total E & P, Southern Swamp Associated Gas Gathering Project (SPDC), Revamping of Existing Ogbainbiri Manifold-Early Gas Project OB/OB (NAOC), Installation of Baker Hughes Gas Flow Meters on all Belemaoil facilities (Belemaoil Prod, Ltd). He also worked as a Piping and Installation Engineer in Kwale Gas Flare Down Project (NAOC) and several Structural Construction Projects from Marine Platform Limited. He has an Excellent understanding in Oil and Gas Business to the delivery of several offshore and onshore project as the team lead in R & B Technologies Nig. Ltd. Where he works Presently as the Director of Operations. He had undergone training as a Process Engineer from Saipem Contracting Nigeria Limited, AutoCAD software and HYSIS Software Training for Process Design and Simulation from Kohasa Engineering Company Limited. Plant Design and Management System (PDMS) Software, NavisWorks Software 2017, Piping Construction, Fabrication, Installation and Project Engineering Training from Indexpro International Services Limited (IISL) JV Amazon Energy Limited (AEL). He is a member of Society of Petroleum Engineers(SPE), Nigeria Society of Chemical Engineers (NSCHE), Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) and Council for Regulation of Engineering Practice (COREN).

Edward Agbai

Dr. Edward Agbai is the Resource Partner, Smart Alliance Consulting Services Ltd, Saskatoon, Canada and an Adjunct Faculty with Emmanuel University, Fayetteville, North Carolina, USA. He is a Dedicated Management Consultant with backgrounds in Leadership, Research, Change Management, and Engineering. He has over 20 years combined experience in leading and managing operations and projects in the public and private sectors. As a Resource Partner with Smart Alliance Consulting, a firm engaged in providing educational support services, he provides operational leadership, manage risk and change, develop, and sustain the growth of the firm. He started his career in 2000 with Eni Nigerian, a major player in the oil and gas sector of the Nigerian economy. As Team Lead, he has experiences in the coordination of operations. He is volunteering with the following organizations; 1) Advisory Board Member – African Journal of Engineering and Environmental Research (AJOEER) Nigeria, 2) Director of Research - International Institute for African Scholars (IIAS) USA, and 3) Canada Country Representative - World Association for Academic Doctors Inc (WAAD) USA Dr. Agbai holds a Ph.D. in Management with specialization in Leadership and Organizational Change, MSc in Project Management both from Walden University Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, A Postgraduate Certificate in Project Management from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom, HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from Rivers State Polytechnic Bori, Nigeria and Diploma in Business Administration from the Academy of Learning and Career College, Saskatoon, Canada He is a member of various professional bodies like International Institute for African Scholar (Fellow), Project Management Institute (PMI, Saskatoon Branch, Canada), the Nigerian Society of Engineer (NSE), and the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM). Baritore Gbiodum Aakoo

Baritore Gbiodum Aakoo, has an MBA in Business Administration from Nasarawa State University, Keffi 2014; MSc in Business Administration from Imo State University, Owerri (2017); BSc in Accountancy from Imo State University, Owerri (2011); PGD in Business Administration and Management from the University of Abuja (2008); HND in Business Administration and Management from the Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori (2000) and ND in Business Administration and Management from the Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori (1997). Aakoo is currently on her PhD in Business Administration, Nassarawa State University. She previously, worked with Abuja British School as a Secretary to the DG in 2004 before joining the Federal Road Safety Commission in 2007. While in FRSC, she has served in various capacities: Protocol officer, Unit Public Enlightenment officer, Sector Servicom Desk Officer, and currently a Staff officer in the Admin and Human Resource Department at the Plateau State Sector Command.

Dr. Bilkisu Adedoyin


Team Lead: Integrated Research and Innovation Deployment Department

Dr. Bilkisu Adedoyin, Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Abuja. She holds a PhD in Applied Chemistry from the Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), Liverpool, United Kingdom, M.Sc. in Material Science Chemistry from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Kaduna, and BSc in Chemistry from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Kaduna State. Her research interests include Natural Products Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Toxicology, Environmental and Green Chemistry. Bilkisu was a winner of the following competitive research grant fellowships, each won at first attempt; the Petroleum Development Trust Fund (PTDF) scholarship 2016, The Royal Society of Chemistry 2020, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Scholarship 2019 and Islamic Development Bank science fellowship 2020, among others. She is a member of Nigerian Chemical Society (CSN), American Chemical Society AMCS, Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), Phytochemical Society of Europe (PSE). A national trainer on Strengthening mathematics and Science Education (SMASE), Nigeria Project.

Ishaka Yakubu


Assist Team Lead: Integrated Research and Innovation Deployment Department

ISHAKA YAKUBU, has PhD in Measurement and Evaluation from Nasarawa State University in (2020) M.ED in Measurement and Evaluation in (2013) B.Sc Economics (ED) in (2002) and Diploma in Mathematics Education in (1998). Now working with Federal Road Safety Commission as Training Officer. Previously, worked as lecturer and Head of Arts and Social Science department (2004-2007), lecturer with Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic in Nyenye(2003- 2007).

Mfonobong Uko


Team Lead: Smart-tech Project Design and Management

Mfonobong Uko, received his B.Eng. degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from University of Uyo, Nigeria and MSc in Communication Engineering from The University of Manchester, UK. He is a PhD candidate in Communication Engineering at the Manchester Metropolitan University. His research interests are adaptive satellite system design; multi-physics design, and modelling of RF, microwave, millimeter-wave, and reconfigurable transceivers; internet of things sensors characterization; multi objective system engineering; and complex systems optimization.

Rayyanu Kabir Danfulani

Assist Team Lead: Smart-tech Project Design and Management

Inventor of 2D software on Reservoir Performance Analysis, Forecast, History Matching and Reserve Estimation Trained HSE professional and software Engineers in Matlab and Mathcad. Currently pursuing a M.Sc Petroleum Refining Systems Engineering in University of Surrey, United kingdom.

KPEA-UE, Bariyira Simple

Legal Adviser II/Manager Communication Network Research communication and Broadcasting network.

Dr. KPEA-UE, Bariyira Simple. He is a legal practitioner based in Port-Harcourt. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2018. In 2017, he graduated with a First Class in Law from the Faculty of Law, Rivers State University, Port-HarCourt. He distinguished himself as the faculty’s best graduating student out of the maiden three first class graduands of the faculty since inception in 1986. This feat earned him a Rivers State Government’s Postgraduate Scholarship to any choice University in Nigeria. In 2018, during the 30th convocation ceremony of the University, Dr. Kpea-ue was awarded the Dean’s Prize for the Best Graduating Student of the Faculty of Law, Dame Alice Lawrence-Nemi’s Prize for the Best Graduating Student in Commercial Law, and Hon. Justice Iche Ndu (Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the 12th Governing Council)’s Prize for the Best Graduating Student in Law for 2016/2017 Academic Session. Dr. Kpea-ue had earlier in 2011 obtained a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Mass Communication from the same University after making a mark at the then Rivers State College of Arts And Science, Rumuola, Port-Harcourt with a National Diploma(Law) in 2004. In September, 2020, he obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the Rivers State University. He teaches Constitutional Law, Environmental Law and Equity and Trust respectively at the Faculty of Law, Rivers State University, Port-HarCourt where he is currently a Lecturer with the Department of Private and Property Law. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Port Harcourt Branch, Nigerian Association of Law Teachers (NALT) and the Association of Environmental Lawyers of Nigeria (AELN). His areas of specialization include Oil and Gas (Energy) Law, Constitutional Law and Environmental Law. He has written several articles in his interest areas and published in reputable journals in Nigeria. He believes in excellence, creativity, innovations, and a high sense of commitment to assignment. He desires to be a renowned lawyer of international repute. He has teaching and football as his hobbies.
